Pocket Change Project meeting

The Pocket Change Project will be holding its first in person meeting in two years at the Kapapamahchakwew – Wandering Spirit School.

We hope to reconnect with neighbours from across The Pocket to discuss our hopes, dreams and plans for a better world.

First and foremost, we'll be talking about the Laneway Project to re-route the path from Phin Park to the Danforth off school property so that we can give that land back to the Indigenous staff and students of Kapapamahchakwew – Wandering Spirit School.

In the process, we're also hoping to commission Indigenous artists to paint a mural along the garages and fences of the laneway to reflect the history and culture that continues to be passed down at the school. 

Because this is the Pocket Change Project, there will also be lots of opportunity to discuss carbon emission-reducing home retrofits, and opportunities to make it easier to buy or share an electric car.

• Hear about bulk purchases of induction ranges and e-bikes from our special guest, Tim Grant (Chair of Harbord Village Resident’s Association Net Zero project)
• Share news about exciting Pocket Change Projects: Public electric vehicle charging stations, emissions-reducing home retrofits, improvements to the laneway beside Wandering Spirit School, the new Pocket Change Project website.
