Have you heard about the Laneway Project? Community Climate Champion Emma Weyman has been working with the Pocket on an exciting new idea: a rejuvenated laneway between Phin Park, the Wandering Spirit School and Ravina Crescent!
The Laneway Project’s ideas:

Hiring Indigenous artists to paint beautiful artwork on fences and garage doors on the west side of the laneway facing the Wandering Spirit School

Creating a pedestrian boardwalk next to the laneway

Planting native plants along the laneway, in planters, hanging baskets and vertical gardens, to create habitat for pollinators, support biodiversity, and maybe even provide food for people in the Pocket community!
